Pension contract for life

Depending on the amount saved in the 2nd pension pillar you have the right to conclude one or several pension agreements once you reach retirement age. At ERGO, it is possible to conclude a pension contract with guaranteed interest, in which case the investment risk will be borne by the insurance undertaking.

Disbursement options

Disbursement options from the 2nd pension pillar depend on the contributions made to the 2nd pillar and are influenced by the amount of salary, length of the endowment period, performance of the selected pension funds and the age of the person.

  • If the value of the pension account is 10 times  the national pension amount or less (up to 2216.30€), you have the right to withdraw all the money at once.
  • If the value of the pension account is below 50 times the national pension (2216.30€ - 11 081.50€), you are entitled to regular payments straight from the pension fund.
  • If the value of the pension account is 50 or more times the national pension (11 081.50€ – 155 141€), you must sign a pension contract with a life insurance company. On the basis of the pension contract, the life insurance company will pay regular pension until the end of a person’s life.
  • With the pension value of 700 or more times the national pension (155 141€) the sum can be left on the pension account, taken with out with regular payments straight from the pension fund or withdrawn all the money at once.
The value of pension assets is compared against a coefficient of the national pension rate. The national pension rate is established by the state and subject to change annually on 1 April (EUR 221.63 from 01.04.2020).
